The "Royal Containers" Peewee Blue Jays capped a very successful season by winning the Select Ontario Baseball Association ("SOBA") Provincial Championship on the Labour Day weekend. The Blue Jays went undefeated in racking up a perfect 5 wins and 0 losses record on their march to the Provincial title. They edged out the Whitby Chiefs 10 - 8 in a very exciting final game. To get to the final, the Blue Jays defeated the same Whitby team 13 - 4, the Mississauga Twins (Blue) 15 - 2, the Quinte Royals 16 - 2 and the Rexdale Renegades 4 - 3. Job well done Blue Jays. Tryouts for the 2009 Rep Teams will begin the week of September 15th.
There is a one-time tryout fee of $10 for each participant.

Congratulations goes out to the Peewee division's Prouse, Dash & Crouch team. In the city's first year participating in the SOBA Intact Provincial Championship they were able to claim the title of Intact Provincial Champions- PeeWee Division. A job well done boys! Congratulations!
